Now this is some "TOOTH-rific" Writing! {& a Freebie}

It's time for a lil Tooth Fairy fun! We started on some dental health activities this week and I think I have started some sort of tooth-pulling epidemic in my classroom! Yikes! It all started when we read a the book called "Moose's Loose Tooth" by Jacqualine Clarke. After lunch one of my students came back and said that the nurse pulled his tooth. Hmmm....{I really didn't know she did that? Maybe it was really really loose???} Then, the next thing I hear is "Can I go to the nurse? I have a loose tooth!" I'm not even kidding! Two kids got their teeth pulled that day! And that was just the beginning....another two kiddos lost a tooth this week {at home thank goodness!} Parents are going to start wondering just how in depth we are getting into this dental health stuff! lol Well, I recently posted my lil unit-"Dental Health Fun starring The Tooth Fairy."

These cutie-patootie tooth fairies are displaying some great writing.

I had my firsties write about what they think the tooth fairy does with all those teeth. OMIgoodness! the stories were sooooo cute! Check out this one...

She gives the tooth to a baby. How sweet is that! Another student wrote that he thinks that the tooth fairy sells teeth to the dentist!

My firsties also loved finishing the rhymes in this little book called "The Tooth Fairy Came Last Night." It is a rhyming book that focuses on money/coins & the value of each coin. If you would like a copy of this lil FREEBIE from my Dental Health Fun unit, just click on the pic below. It will take you to my TpT shop-then click on DOWNLOAD PREVIEW. Be sure to leave me a lil shout-out below! Hope you {& your kiddos} enjoy it!

  3. Those little kids' activities are fit for February since we're celebrating National Children's Dental Health Month. It's good to see that little kids are starting to take care of their teeth, not because they want to receive money from the tooth fairy, but because they want to grow up with healthy teeth.

  16. Stinking cute, adorably cute, ahm... what else? haha. Your little angels seemed to enjoy your tooth fairy fever, Christie! Your clever idea helped them be courageous, and you let their imaginative minds play along with this activity.
