Here Comes That Tooth Fairy!

Omiword! I am soooo ready to say goodbye to winter! We have had 12 snow days so far...YES! I said 12!!! And don't get me wrong, I LUV snow days, but now I'm ready for some flip flop weather y'all!!! :)  This week we are closing out the month of February with some dental health fun and this is one of my favorite writing craftivities:

What does the tooth fairy do with all those teeth?  Well, if you're lookin' for some super cute responses to this question, just ask a first grader! Now this is some "TOOTH-rific" Writing! {& a Freebie}

It's time for a lil Tooth Fairy fun! We started on some dental health activities this week and I think I have started some sort of tooth-pulling epidemic in my classroom! Yikes! It all started when we read a the book called "Moose's Loose Tooth" by Jacqualine Clarke. After lunch one of my students came back and said that the nurse pulled his tooth. Hmmm....{I really didn't know she did that? Maybe it was really really loose???} Then, the next thing I hear is "Can I go to the nurse? I have a loose tooth!" I'm not even kidding! Two kids got their teeth pulled that day! And that was just the beginning....another two kiddos lost a tooth this week {at home thank goodness!} Parents are going to start wondering just how in depth we are getting into this dental health stuff! lol Well, I recently posted my lil unit-"Dental Health Fun starring The Tooth Fairy."

These cutie-patootie tooth fairies are displaying some great writing.

I had my firsties write about what they think the tooth fairy does with all those teeth. OMIgoodness! the stories were sooooo cute! Check out this one...

She gives the tooth to a baby. How sweet is that! Another student wrote that he thinks that the tooth fairy sells teeth to the dentist!  

My firsties also loved finishing the rhymes in this little book called "The Tooth Fairy Came Last Night." It is a rhyming book that focuses on money/coins & the value of each coin.
