My firsties are sooo excited about this day {Not real sure, but I'm thinkin' that some of them think that the 100th day of school is the last day of school!} Our 100th day actually falls on February 1st, but we will be starting on some of our activities on Monday. One of our l-o-n-g-e-r activities is a little book called "My Book of 100 Words". Last week I asked the kiddos if they could write 100 words and they said, "NO WAY!" Well, won't they be surprised when we finish up our word lists in this little book and they discover that they really can write 100 words!!! ReplyDeleteDo they need to use words they already know how to spell or can they use words around the room or in books? Do you do it together or does everyone work independently, small groups? Great idea! Thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteI had my kiddos work in groups. They could use words around the room, in books...whatever! It was sooo cute to see them helping each other out!! They were so proud to have written 100 words!
