Sequencing with "There Was an Old Lady..." Books

Hey bloggin' friends! I feel like I've been neglecting this poor lil blog of mine for the past couple weeks. Kinda feeling like a cRaZy woman these past few weeks! I'm sure you know exactly what I'm talking about! Getting adjusted back to our "school schedule" is always an exhausting few weeks! Whew! Well, I hope everyone's school year is off to a super start! My new firsties are WONDERFUL! And, OMIGosh, have they got personality!! {I just love "spunky" kiddos!} Anyway, this week we have been working on sequencing...I started out by reading the book "There Was an Old Woman Who Swallowed Some Books" by Lucille Colorando. I just LUV these OLD LADY books-they are absolutely perfect for sequencing activities & so much more!

... and then we sequenced our story using these picture cards...

We finished up our lil sequencing lesson by making our very own book and highlighting the sequencing words in the book.

If you would like a copy of this fun lil activity, just click HERE or on any of the pics above.

I can't wait to read "There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed Some Leaves" next week!!!

  11. Thanks for great freebies! They are truly appreciated. As a speech pathologist, I use theses books; especially ones with series to provide inclusion activities for regular and special education classrooms. They enjoy the hands-on experience and being able to to take it home to share with parents/guardians. Thanks again for the wonderful freebies!
