THEY HAVE ARRIVED!

The eggs have arrived! Check it out...12 little babies! My firsties were soooo excited this morning when they saw them! Of course we got started right away on our little egg-hatching journals. We predicted how many eggs we think will hatch & drew a picture of our prediction. We will be writing in our journals each day until the "big hatch."
This lil reproducible book is in my "What's Hatchin' Chick?" unit. Click HERE or on the pic below to check it out.
I really REALLY love all of the fun chicken books that are out there. One of our favorites is "Big Chickens" by Leslie Helakoski. This book is such a HOOT!

After reading about these crazy clucks, we brainstormed what we thought it meant to be a "big chicken." Tomorrow we will be writing about things that turn us into "big chickens"-I can't wait to see what the kiddos write! Of course, I can't resist the opportunity for a little craftivity! Check out these super-cute "Big Chickens"...

The pattern for these cuties & the writing prompts are in my "Big Chicken Writing Craftivity" unit. Click on the pic to see more.

I'm really excited to have just two more days left til the weekend! WOO HOO! I'll keep you posted on the hatchin'!

  2. We used to hatch chicks but that unit got taken away from us...BOO! So much fun, but man did I get nervous around the "big day"....your stuff looks so dang cute...wish we still did it {sort of - it was a lot of work though}. I have never seen an incubator like that...did you make it?!?

    1. I think someone at our school might have made them. We have a bazillion of them around. I like how the kiddos can see in the front instead of huddling over the top. Last year's hatch was a little "messy"...hoping for a less violent hatch this year! {yikes!}

  6. While selecting a moneylender online to get auto advances for poor credit it is essential that you invest the energy to look at the validity of these organizations. Numerous individuals who require a credit when they have an awful money related record may wrongly expect they have to apply to the principal organization they discover who will favor them. cash advance
