Jenn from A Pirates Life for Us is sharing her Monthly Reading Challenges because there are so many ways that they can be utilized.  They can be used as a class challenge, small group, or individually.  Each month represents some of the common themes we, as teachers, cover during the month.  For example, during the month of October the children and their families will have to find and read a book on bats.  These challenges can be used in the school/classroom setting with support or it can be used as a home/school connection.  This packet contains Monthly Reading Challenges for the entire year as well as a parent note that explains the challenges.
