My Prize Pass Catalog with Polka Dots & a Kohls Discount Code!

Hey everyone! Well, it's been a year since I decided to toss that dreaded "Prize Box" from my classroom & switch over to the "Prize Pass Catalog". And let me tell you I LOVE IT! {& so did my firsties!} A year without constantly trying to find stuff to fill the Prize Box....ahhhh....it was wonderful! No hassle searching for "prizes" and it didn't cost me a penny! Last summer I made a zebra print version of my Prize Pass Catalog {click HERE to see that post} & throughout the year I have had requests to add prizes to the catalog. So this summer, I put all those together in one file & added a polka dot border. {I'm mixing a lot of polka dots with my zebra print this year & lovin' it!} This file includes full-page sheets to make your Prize Pass Catalog, individual Prize Passes to give to students when they earn the prize & the Punch Card. If you would like a copy of my Prize Pass Catalog just click the pic below for your FREEBIE!

I used a 3-ring binder with those clear sheet protectors & put the full-page prize descriptions in them. Then I printed & cut the individual Prize Passes & stored them behind each prize description so they are ready to go when a student chooses a prize. Easy-peasy!!! I also put the zebra-print version all together in one file so if you prefer that border...just click the pic below for your FREEBIE!

Ok, time to share a lil something with all my bloggin' friends that love to shop...
This lil critter gets cuter each time I look at him-don't ya think?!? Did you know that you can go to kohls.com & find lots of other books & stuffed animals that are part of the Kohls Cares program? Check it out by clicking the pic of Skippyjon Jones! Well, since my trip to Kohls when I bought my adorbs lil Skippy, I have had tons of emails about that cute lil critter. Well, imagine how excited I was to receive an email from Kohls Department Stores offering an online discount code to my blog readers! Here's what it said:
I noticed that you offer your readers great savings advice. Therefore, I also wanted to share an exclusive 10%off code for kohls.com. You can use the code BLOGIT10 through August 23and stack your savings with one other department specific code as well.Feel free to use this code and share it with your readers!
WOO HOO!!! Just in time for back-to-school shopping!

  1. Hi Christie, thanks for sharing your prize pass catalog. And since I am doing zebra in my class, it will tie in perfectly. Just wondering - you mentioned that you keep them in a binder, with the coupons (the ones that the kiddos get) right behind them? What do you store them in after they are cut apart? A clear zipper pouch, or a sheet protector? Thanks for sharing all of your wonderful ideas!

    1. I put all of the full-size pages in a sheet protector inside the binder {just 1 prize pass page per sheet protector} then I print the coupons, cut them apart & store them in the sheet protector with {behind} the matching prize. That way I don't have to search for the coupon once they choose the prize-its just right there in the same sheet protector! :)

  3. Great post! Thanks for the freebie!!!! I got rid of my prize box during the year last year to help with one of my firsties who was in a program that worked for "incentives". I wish I had found your blog last year. A few of our favorites... dance party (a one or two min. song) and Robert Munsch books that HE reads on his website!!! That was our favorite!

    2. Ok I just heard back from Kohls, the code is good for 10% off now thru Aug 23rd. She said you could stack that with another "department code" {I'm not really sure what that is but you should at least be able to get 10% off!} :)

    1. The "Super Supplies" is a favorite in my 1st grade classroom-it is just a caddy {with a cute ribbon around it} filled with "fun" school supplies like pencils with fuzzy feathers on top or any kind of silly pencil/pen, smelly markers, fun erasers, etc... They get to put this caddy on their desks and use these supplies to do their work that day instead of just a regular pencil. They love it!! :)

  9. I do something similar in my classroom. Did your kids want to eat lunch with a friend every. single. time.? Mine did, so I actually made the prizes in two different levels. (We use punch cards, so they had to have two full punch cards to earn that prize.) It saved me from having lunch in the classroom everyday- I need that adult interaction time! haha
I love how you have a different page for each prize, I might just do that!

  12. I love your idea and hope to use it in my classroom this year!! I was just wondering, what do you do for special treat day?? And, do students have to get their punch card full before they get a prize pass? Thanks so much!!

    1. Thanks a bunch! For Special Treat Day, they are allowed to bring in a little treat to share with the class. They get a prize when their punch card is full, but I also give a prize pass to the student who reads the poem the most times during the week. You can use it anyway that suits your classroom!

  14. Thanks so much for the prize pass catalog! I absolutely love it! I just found your blog this month and it is awesome! I was wondering if you could post a blank full page polka-dot border so I could make more prize passes? I had a few other ideas like: teacher's assistant, calendar teacher, read a book to the class, and go to another class for indoor recess.

  18. I LOVE these!! I was also wondering if you could make one that says "Wrist Smellies" for me? The kids can choose a scented lip balm and the whole class gets some on their wrist. They are hilarious! Thanks!

  21. On the off chance that those investment funds ever appear, the $100 billion reserve funds more than four years would bring about every American family unit hypothetically getting back $769 in funds. The $769 in funds speaks to under 2% of the extra assessments that will be required eventually to pay for the shortage spending of Washington. https://www.usacheckcashingstore.com/san-diego
